Despite a strong opening, the film is struggling to maintain momentum due to competition and has begun to lose screens to other releases like 'Demonte Colony 2' and 'Vaazhai.' The Hindi version of 'Thangalaan' is set to release on September 6, which may help boost its earnings. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the movie explores the history of the Kolar Gold Fields and features notable performances from its cast. Currently, the film is projected to finish below Rs 75 crore unless the upcoming Hindi release significantly improves its standing.
