Discrepancies Noted in New Haven Pedestrian Fatality

Jaime Melendez-Martinez, 58, was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing Foxon Boulevard in New Haven, outside of a marked crosswalk near a Walmart, around 10:13 p.m. on Wednesday. The driver left the scene but later reported the incident to the New Haven Police Department. Melendez-Martinez was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he died from his injuries, and his family has been notified. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
