South Carolina Pastor, Wife Arrested Nashville Child Abuse Charges

Myron Chorbajian, a 73-year-old pastor from Greenville, South Carolina, and his 70-year-old wife Kathleen were arrested outside Nashville's Grand Ole Opry after fleeing amid allegations of extensive child abuse dating back to the 1980s. The couple, who have one biological daughter and seven adopted children, face nearly 40 charges including sexual conduct with minors, incest, assault, and unlawful placing of children at risk. Investigations revealed that the male children endured severe physical abuse, while the female children suffered sexual abuse, with two victims having died under unclear circumstances. Myron allegedly used extreme punishments such as beating children with belts and paddles, forcing them to eat rotten food, and causing serious injuries. Kathleen is accused of being aware of the abuse and failing to intervene, facing charges of placing children at risk and accessory after the fact. Both are held without bond in Greenville County following extradition from Tennessee, where they were apprehended near a Dave & Buster's arcade.
