M30 King of Fresno Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges

Horacio Torrecillas Urias Jr., a 23-year-old known as the 'M30 King of Fresno,' has pleaded guilty to charges of fentanyl distribution and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, following a major investigation called 'Operation Killer High.' This operation was initiated after a surge of fentanyl-related overdoses in Fresno, linked to counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl. Law enforcement seized over 55,000 counterfeit M30 pills and substantial amounts of other drugs and firearms during the crackdown, which also led to charges against 17 other defendants, most of whom have pleaded guilty. Torrecillas Urias faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and up to life in prison, with sentencing scheduled for December 2, 2024. The investigation highlighted the dangers posed by counterfeit pills, especially following incidents involving high school-aged individuals.
