Marvel, DC Set Batman-Deadpool Crossover for 2024

Marvel and DC are launching their first official Batman-Deadpool crossover in over 20 years, with two one-shot comics: Deadpool/Batman, published by Marvel in September 2024 and written by Zeb Wells with art by Greg Capullo, and Batman/Deadpool, published by DC in November with Grant Morrison writing and Dan Mora illustrating. The story begins with Deadpool taking a mercenary job in Gotham City, leading to a confrontation with Batman. Both issues will feature additional stories pairing other Marvel and DC characters, though specifics are still under wraps. Executives from both companies highlighted the extraordinary effort and coordination required for the crossover, and stressed its significance given how infrequently such collaborations occur. This event marks a major return for Marvel-DC crossovers since 2003's JLA/Avengers. A further joint one-shot is already scheduled for 2026, signaling ongoing collaboration between the two publishers.
