Stuart Kettlewell resigns as Motherwell manager

Stuart Kettlewell has resigned as manager of Motherwell Football Club, citing personal abuse affecting his family as the primary reason for his departure. Kettlewell's tenure, which began in February 2023, saw him achieve a win percentage of 41.3%, the highest of any Motherwell manager in recent history, and he successfully guided the team to safety last season. Club officials expressed their regret over his resignation, emphasizing the impact of fan behavior on Kettlewell's family. The resignation comes just two weeks shy of his second anniversary in charge, amid a four-game winless streak for the team. Assistant Stephen Frail is set to take over managerial duties in the interim.
