Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in London

In the early hours of Christmas Day, a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after driving on the wrong side of the road and hitting four pedestrians on Shaftesbury Avenue in London's West End. One pedestrian is currently in life-threatening condition, while the others were also hospitalized. The Metropolitan Police believe the driver was involved in a nightclub altercation before the incident, which has been confirmed as isolated and non-terror-related. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Stuart Cundy stated that officers acted quickly, arresting the suspect within minutes. Several scenes remain cordoned off as investigations continue, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
