Angel Reese Sets WNBA Double-Double Record
Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese has become the fastest player in WNBA history to achieve 20 double-doubles, accomplishing this feat in just 27 games. She recorded 19 points and 20 rebounds in the Sky's 86-68 loss to the Phoenix Mercury. Despite her personal success, the Sky have struggled, currently holding an 11-16 record. Reese is now two double-doubles shy of matching both the Sky's single-season record and the WNBA rookie record. She has averaged 13.6 points and a league-leading 12.3 rebounds per game, earning the WNBA Rookie of the Month in June. The Sky will next face the Connecticut Sun on August 23.
