John Ball Zoo Employee Assaulted, Suspect Arrested in Grand Rapids

A female employee at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids was assaulted by an unauthorized man near a service entrance on July 30. The zoo staff intervened during the attack, causing the suspect to flee, but police apprehended him shortly thereafter. The victim was hospitalized for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries.
