Claremore school supplies

As the new school year approaches, various initiatives are underway to support students and teachers in need of school supplies. First Methodist Church in Claremore continues its 27-year tradition of providing school supplies to Rogers County students, with volunteers filling bags for distribution until August 16, having helped 2,734 students last year. Teachers can also benefit from a pop-up shop at the Muskogee Civic Center, which expects over 200 educators to receive supplies, with approximately $4,000 worth of donations. Douglas County is hosting a Strive to Thrive resource fair on July 30, offering school supplies, food, and health services to families in need. Additionally, a recent analysis found Walmart to be the most affordable option for back-to-school supplies in Minnesota, while Amazon was among the pricier choices. Denver officials participated in a Back-To-School Kick-Off event, distributing backpacks filled with supplies to students.
