Miller Moss Named USC Starting Quarterback

Miller Moss has been named the starting quarterback for USC, succeeding Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams. Moss, a redshirt junior, spent the past three seasons as a backup and earned the starting role after his standout performance in the 2023 Holiday Bowl, where he threw for 372 yards and a record six touchdowns in a victory over Louisville. Head coach Lincoln Riley confirmed Moss as the starter after a close competition with UNLV transfer Jayden Maiava. Moss's journey has been marked by patience and perseverance, sticking with USC despite numerous challenges and changes within the program. He is expected to bring a different style to Riley's offense, which has traditionally favored more mobile quarterbacks. USC will open their 2024 season against LSU on September 1st.
