Libyan National Oil Corporation Halts Pipeline Near Zawiya After Leak

Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) has halted production and shut down a pipeline south of Zawiya following the discovery of an oil leak. Maintenance and emergency teams, led by the Arabian Gulf Oil Company, responded swiftly by closing a valve in Alriyayna and opening flow valves at the Zawiya refinery to relieve pressure on the affected pipeline. A specialist team is investigating the cause of the leak while efforts to clean up and recover spilled oil are underway to mitigate environmental damage.
