The IDF has reported the deaths of three reserve soldiers during combat operations in the central Gaza Strip. The soldiers, identified as Sgt. Maj. (res.) Danil Pechenyuk (26), Sgt. Maj. (res.) Nitai Metodi (23), and Sgt. Maj. (res.) Yaniv Itzhak Oren (35), were killed in two separate incidents, with Pechenyuk and Metodi dying in an explosion caused by an undetected explosive device during a battalion raid in the Zeitoun neighborhood. This attack also resulted in injuries to seven other soldiers, four of whom are critically wounded. The ongoing military operations have seen a total of 699 Israeli soldiers killed since the start of the conflict, highlighting the escalating nature of the conflict with Hamas. The IDF is reportedly adapting its tactics in response to surveillance measures employed by Hamas during these encounters.
