Oasis' Don't Look Back In Anger Most Played UK Song Since 2000
Following Oasis's highly anticipated reunion tour starting in Cardiff, music licensing company Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) revealed that "Don’t Look Back In Anger" is the band's most-played song on UK radio and TV in the 21st century. The top 10 list also includes hits like "Wonderwall," "She’s Electric," "Roll With It," and "Little By Little," with six tracks from their 1995 album (What's the Story) Morning Glory? making the list. Oasis songs have accumulated over seven years of cumulative airplay and are played an average of 120 times daily across the UK, underscoring their enduring popularity. PPL’s chief executive, Peter Leathem, described Oasis as one of the most iconic, era-defining bands that continue to resonate with audiences decades after their release. Meanwhile, Oasis tribute acts report significant declines in ticket sales and canceled gigs since the reunion, as fans prefer to see the real band live. The tribute duo plans to rebrand and expand their repertoire beyond Oasis songs to adapt to these changes.
