Avelo Airlines Expands Nonstop Routes From Lakeland, Wilmington, New Haven

Avelo Airlines is actively expanding its route network with new nonstop services from multiple U.S. airports. From Lakeland International Airport, the airline added twice-weekly flights to Long Island, New York, and Grand Rapids, Michigan, with fares starting at $39. At Wilmington International Airport, Avelo launched four new twice-weekly nonstop routes to Houston, Washington, D.C., Detroit, and Long Island, using Boeing 737 aircraft and offering fares as low as $29; this expansion also brought new jobs and marked the company's eighth base. Additionally, Avelo restarted seasonal twice-weekly flights between Kalispell and Los Angeles using Boeing Next-Generation 737s. The carrier also introduced its first overnight red-eye service, operating twice weekly flights from New Haven, Connecticut, to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to optimize aircraft utilization despite the added operational complexity. These expansions underscore Avelo's strategy to provide affordable, convenient nonstop services across growing markets.
