Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate 10 new Vande Bharat Express trains on September 15 from Jamshedpur, enhancing connectivity across several states including Jharkhand, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Odisha. The new services will include routes such as Tatanagar to Patna, Varanasi to Deoghar, and Agra to Varanasi, with travel times significantly reduced to about seven hours for some routes. This launch marks a historic moment as it is the first simultaneous flag-off of multiple Vande Bharat trains, aimed at improving rail infrastructure and travel efficiency. Additionally, a trial run for the Tatanagar-Berhampur train has already been completed successfully. The introduction of the first semi-high-speed sleeper Vande Bharat train is also anticipated within the next three months, adding to the excitement surrounding the initiative. Meanwhile, a recent technical issue was reported with a different Vande Bharat train traveling from New Delhi to Varanasi, highlighting ongoing operational challenges.
