New Hampshire Mom Commits Murder-Suicide After Embezzling $600K From Employer

Emily Long, a New Hampshire woman and Director of Operations at Wing-Itz, a chicken wing restaurant chain, allegedly embezzled over $660,000 from her employer over a two-year period before committing a murder-suicide involving her terminally ill husband and two children. Wing-Itz owner Derek Fisher discovered financial discrepancies through his accountant and confronted Long, who provided manipulated bank statements and later offered to resign or be fired. Despite Fisher's patience due to her husband's glioblastoma diagnosis, Long failed to resolve the allegations, leading Fisher to report the suspected embezzlement to the police shortly before the tragic deaths. The family’s youngest child and two dogs survived the incident. Long had shared her emotional struggles on TikTok, revealing fears about becoming a single parent and her declining mental health. Fisher expressed devastation over the loss and stated that any remaining assets should benefit the surviving child, who was not involved in the tragedy.
