Oklahoma, California Seize Nearly 8,800 Illegal Marijuana Plants, Arrests Reported

Law enforcement agencies conducted significant busts on illegal marijuana cultivation in both Lake Elsinore, California, and Ada, Oklahoma. In Lake Elsinore, over 800 marijuana plants were seized from a vacant property where power had been illegally altered, though no arrests were made. Meanwhile, in Ada, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, in collaboration with ICE, the DEA, and other local agencies, raided Laurent Green LLC, seizing nearly 8,000 marijuana plants and 54 pounds of processed marijuana. The Ada operation resulted in one arrest by OBN and two individuals taken into custody by ICE, with authorities warning that more arrests are possible as investigations continue. The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics emphasized its ongoing efforts to target black market operations, particularly those fraudulently obtaining registration through straw ownership schemes. Since 2022, Oklahoma enforcement has seized over 1.8 million illegal marijuana plants and made more than 300 arrests related to such illegal activities.
