The Who Confirm North America Farewell Tour Without UK Dates

The Who have announced their farewell tour titled 'The Song Is Over,' which will take place across North America in August and September 2025, with no confirmed plans to visit the UK or Europe. Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend expressed doubts about a UK leg, citing logistical difficulties and restrictions, with Daltrey noting that touring in America is much easier than in the UK. Daltrey also highlighted the physical demands of touring at his age, sharing that he must have a day off after every concert to protect his voice, complicating consecutive show scheduling. Townshend mentioned that while the band could consider residencies at iconic UK venues like The O2 or Royal Albert Hall, they prefer not to do consecutive shows and face insurance challenges for traditional UK tours. Both musicians remain open to the possibility of UK performances but are uncertain about when or if these might happen. The farewell tour will feature performances of hits from their six-decade career, concluding in Las Vegas.
