PlayStation Plans State of Play Featuring 30-Minute 007 First Light Gameplay

Sony and IO Interactive have announced a dedicated PlayStation State of Play livestream on September 3 focused entirely on the upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light. The broadcast will feature over 30 minutes of gameplay showcasing Bond's first mission as an MI6 recruit, including high-speed car chases, on-foot stealth sequences, and shootouts, followed by developer insights into the game's espionage mechanics. The game will be enhanced for PlayStation 5 Pro with optimized performance and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, running at 60 FPS in Quality Mode. IO Interactive aims to build a new James Bond universe independent of previous films or actors, with the production reportedly progressing very well. 007 First Light is scheduled for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The livestream will be available on PlayStation's YouTube and Twitch channels.
