Streaming Halloween Horror Picks Across Platforms

Streaming services have expanded their Halloween offerings across platforms, with Prime Video launching a Halloween hub and starter pack of recommended titles including exclusives. New and notable releases this season include Paul Schrader’s Cat People update and the AI-tinged thriller Companion, alongside Stay on Hulu and franchise entry The Conjuring: Last Rites among several fresh seasonal films. Many lesser-known horror gems — found-footage two-handers, Australian teen creepfests and Airbnb-set horrors — are available to stream for free or via subscription on platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Tubi, Apple TV and Prime Video. Entertainment Weekly compiled a list of 22 animated Halloween films (from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad to Batman: The Long Halloween) for family-friendly and stylistic viewing. Broadcasters and streamers including BBC iPlayer are promoting spooky slates, and more scares are arriving with upcoming titles like It: Welcome to Derry, Bugonia and new Frankenstein adaptations.
