A 15-year-old from Nashville has been arrested in connection with threats made against Southwind High School, which prompted a lockdown. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office secured a felony warrant for the teen, who allegedly made threats via social media and phone calls to the school. This arrest marks the sixth related to recent threats that have led to lockdowns in the Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) district. Sheriff Floyd Bonner stated that the investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind the threats. The teen will be presented before a judge in Juvenile Court to decide on custody pending trial. Additionally, three other suspects involved in the threats are from Whitehaven, while two have not yet been identified.
