Bulloch Academy Wins First State Championship Since 1997

The Bulloch Academy Gators achieved a historic milestone by securing their first perfect football season and state championship since 1997, overcoming First Presbyterian Day 14-10 with a late-game comeback. Shamar Jenkins' seven-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter, followed by crucial interceptions from Spencer Gallo and Ike Hubbard, sealed the victory. In college football, the Florida Gators upset No. 9 Ole Miss 24-17 at home, clinching bowl eligibility with a strong defensive performance and a robust rushing attack led by Montrell Johnson. This victory also benefitted Tennessee, which needed Florida to win to improve its own playoff prospects. The Gators' defense effectively neutralized Ole Miss's offensive strategies, which had been highly successful throughout the season. Overall, both Gators teams have solidified their positions with significant wins in their respective leagues.
