2024 SWAC Hall of Fame Class Announced

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) has announced its 2024 Hall of Fame inductees, with the enshrinement ceremony scheduled for December 13, 2024, at the Omni Hotel in Atlanta. Among the honorees are legendary figures such as former Southern University coach Pete Richardson and current Alcorn State tight ends coach Fred McNair. Richardson is celebrated for his successful 17-year tenure at Southern, where he secured five SWAC titles and four Black college national championships, making him the second-winningest coach in the school's history. McNair, known as the 'Air McNair' and brother of NFL MVP Steve McNair, also had a notable coaching career, leading Alcorn State to multiple titles. Other inductees include Grambling State’s Hillary Matthew Bossier, Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Earl Goldman, and broadcaster Charlie Neal. The event will highlight the significant contributions of these individuals to HBCU football.
