Joliet Teen Charged in Shooting of Three Teens

A 15-year-old boy from Joliet has been arrested and charged after allegedly shooting three teenagers early Sunday morning on the city's southeast side. Police responded around 5:30 a.m. and discovered two 16-year-old boys from Joliet and a 14-year-old from University Park suffering gunshot wounds; one was airlifted in critical but stable condition, while the others were hospitalized or treated and released. Authorities charged the suspect with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, reckless discharge, and unlawful possession of a weapon. The motive for the shooting has not been released, and the suspect's identity is being withheld due to his age.
