Teddy Swims’ Lose Control Sets Billboard Hot 100 Longevity Record
Teddy Swims has set a new Billboard Hot 100 record with his hit song "Lose Control," which spent 92 weeks on the chart, surpassing the previous record of 91 weeks held by Glass Animals' "Heat Waves." The song, which debuted in August 2023, also holds the record for the longest stay in the Hot 100's top 10 with 63 weeks and was Billboard's number one song of 2024. "Lose Control" reached number one on multiple Billboard charts including Radio Songs, Adult Contemporary, and Pop Airplay, and has amassed nearly 4 billion global streams. Swims' success with the song and his debut album "I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1)" has earned him Grammy nominations and widespread acclaim. In 2025, he released a follow-up album, performed at the Grammys, and is currently touring internationally, highlighting his rise as a genre-defying artist. Additionally, Swims has teased new music and is expecting his first child with his partner.
