Marvel Reconsiders T’Challa Recasting for Black Panther 3

Speculation has intensified about Damson Idris potentially being cast as the new Black Panther after he expressed interest in the role during a Today show interview. Marvel Studios, which had previously stated it would not recast T’Challa following Chadwick Boseman's passing, is now reportedly reconsidering that decision, with discussions about either recasting T’Challa or introducing his son. Letitia Wright’s Shuri remains the current Black Panther, and director Ryan Coogler is still leading the franchise's creative direction. Denzel Washington has been confirmed for a role in the next film, with reports suggesting Coogler is writing a part specifically for him. Despite ongoing industry rumors and fan speculation, producer Nate Moore has clarified that no final casting decisions for T’Challa or 'Black Panther 3' have been made. The third installment is anticipated for release in 2028.
