Apple TV+ to Premiere 'Dope Thief' in March 2025

Apple TV+ has announced the premiere of its upcoming crime drama series 'Dope Thief', set to debut with two episodes on March 14, 2025, followed by weekly releases until April 25. Created and executive produced by Peter Craig, known for 'The Batman', and directed by Ridley Scott, the series stars Academy Award-nominee Brian Tyree Henry and Wagner Moura as two long-time friends who impersonate DEA agents to rob a house, only to uncover a significant hidden narcotics corridor. The show, based on Dennis Tafoya's novel, features a strong ensemble cast, including Marin Ireland, Kate Mulgrew, and Ving Rhames. Originally titled 'Sinking Spring', 'Dope Thief' aims to blend suspense with gritty storytelling, showcasing the perils of crime and betrayal. Both Scott and Craig are also executive producers alongside several others, marking a significant collaboration in television. The series promises to be a standout addition to Apple TV+'s slate of original content in 2025.
