Bernard Fanning Plans 20th Anniversary Tea & Sympathy Show Brisbane

Bernard Fanning will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut solo album, Tea & Sympathy, with a one-night-only performance at Brisbane's Queensland Performing Arts Centre on October 31, 2025. The album, released during Powderfinger's hiatus in 2005, topped the ARIA Albums Chart, went triple platinum, won three ARIA Awards including Album of the Year, and earned Fanning the APRA Songwriter of the Year title. The show will feature Fanning performing the album in full for the first time since its release, with special guests including rising star Jem Cassar-Daley and surprise artists. The event also supports Youngcare, a not-for-profit organization aiding young people with high physical support needs, reflecting Fanning's long-term ambassadorship; a portion of the proceeds will go to the charity. Alongside the concert, a 20th anniversary reissue of Tea & Sympathy will be released, containing demos, outtakes, and covers by other artists. Fanning expressed pride in the album's raw and heartfelt themes, which resonated deeply with audiences beyond its breakout optimistic single, "Wish You Well."
