Sphere to Launch Immersive Experiences in Las Vegas

Sphere Entertainment has announced two new immersive experiences at its Las Vegas venue: 'The Wizard of Oz at Sphere' and 'From the Edge.' Opening on August 28, 2025, 'The Wizard of Oz' will offer a fully immersive adaptation of the 1939 classic film, using cutting-edge technologies from Warner Bros. Discovery, Google, and Magnopus to enhance the original movie while maintaining its integrity. The creative team includes Jane Rosenthal, Ben Grossmann, Jennifer Lame, and Zack Winokur. 'From the Edge,' directed by E. Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, will debut in 2026 and feature extreme sports athletes like Alex Honnold and Kai Lenny, captured with Sphere's proprietary camera system. Both projects aim to leverage Sphere's capabilities as an experiential medium, continuing the venue's tradition of innovative entertainment.
