Tina Dabi, previously the Commissioner of the Employment Guarantee Scheme in Jaipur, has been appointed as the District Collector of Barmer, a strategically important border district. Her husband, Pradeep Gawande, has been appointed as the District Collector of Jalore, which is 150 kilometers from Barmer. Tina Dabi, who made headlines by topping the 2015 UPSC exam, had taken a maternity leave and previously served as the Collector of Jaisalmer. This reshuffle also saw other key transfers, including Akhil Arora (Finance) and Anand Kumar (Home) remaining unchanged, and Shubhra Singh moving to Roadways. The couple welcomed their first child in September 2023, marking significant personal and professional milestones.
