Calgary Man Faces Charges After 108 kg Cocaine Seized at Coutts Border

The drugs were discovered hidden in a commercial transport vehicle that originated from the United States during a secondary inspection. Singh faces charges of importing a controlled substance and possession for trafficking, with a court appearance scheduled for May 7, 2025. Officials from CBSA and the RCMP highlighted the importance of inter-agency collaboration in intercepting the drugs, emphasizing their commitment to community safety. Ben Tame, CBSA's district director, stated that this seizure showcases the vital role border services play in preventing dangerous drugs from entering Canada. The Integrated Border Enforcement Team is continuing its investigation into the incident.
