Expressing his discontent over the Oakland Athletics' move to Las Vegas, Armstrong stated, 'I hate Las Vegas. It's the worst shithole in America,' and criticized the team's owner, John Fisher. In response, KOMP 92.3 and X107.5 announced they would no longer play the band's music, with KOMP 92.3 posting on Instagram, 'It’s not us, Billie…it’s you. #vegas4ever.' X107.5 echoed this sentiment, highlighting their surprise at Armstrong's remarks given his past positive engagement with the city. Armstrong's comments have sparked backlash, as local hosts suggested he should reconsider his approach to criticism. Green Day is currently on a world tour with scheduled performances in multiple countries through 2025.
