Frank Solich to be Honored Sept. 7
Frank Solich, a former Nebraska football coach, will be honored with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute during the Cornhuskers' game against Colorado on September 7, 2024. He is being recognized as a 2024 College Football Hall of Fame electee after achieving a 173-101 overall record, ranking fourth in wins among active FBS head coaches at the time of his retirement in 2021. During his six seasons with Nebraska, Solich led the team to a Big 12 title, three division crowns, and three top-10 finishes, including a BCS Championship Game appearance. The ceremony will include the presentation of a Hall of Fame plaque that will be permanently displayed at the school. This salute is part of a long-standing tradition for recognizing Hall of Famers at their alma maters. Solich’s legacy includes significant achievements at both Nebraska and Ohio, where he remains the winningest coach in Mid-American Conference history.
