LEGO Unveils Transformers Soundwave Set Release Dates

LEGO has announced the third Transformers Icons set, featuring Soundwave as the first Decepticon model in the series. The 1,505-piece set allows Soundwave to transform from robot to cassette player without disassembly and includes posable joints, a rocket pod, laser blaster, and darts. It features a sound brick that plays original Transformers voice lines and sound effects when activated. The set includes buildable Ravage and either Laserbeak or Rumble cassette companions, both of which fit into Soundwave’s chest compartment. Priced at $189.99, the set will be available to LEGO Insiders on August 1 and to the general public on August 4, making it the most expensive Transformers set to date. Current promotions offer discounts on previous Optimus Prime and Bumblebee LEGO sets, as well as other LEGO deals for Prime Day.
