Simu Liu stars in an upcoming untitled espionage thriller series for Peacock, where he plays Alexander Hale, a first-generation American intelligence analyst who discovers his brain has been hacked, compromising his senses. The cast has expanded to include Melissa Barrera as Michelle, Brian d'Arcy James as John Moira, Sinclair Daniel as Parker, Mark O’Brien as Cobb, and Kathleen Chalfant as St. George, each playing pivotal roles in the narrative. The series is set five minutes into the future, with Liu's character navigating the complexities of his hacking situation while trying to identify the culprits. Thomas Brandon serves as the creator and co-showrunner alongside Jennifer Yale, with James Wan and others attached as executive producers. While the series was picked up in February, a premiere date has yet to be announced. The project is anticipated to blend elements of thriller and science fiction, enhancing Liu's growing portfolio following his notable roles in various films.
