Senator Marshall Advocates for Trump’s Women's Sports Policies

Kansas Senator Roger Marshall emphasized the need for Republicans to continue President Trump's initiatives on protecting women's sports from transgender athletes. During his appearance on a radio show, he highlighted the importance of building upon Trump's victory in this area, criticizing the Biden administration's approach to Title IX. Marshall, who has co-sponsored legislation aimed at preserving Title IX protections for female athletes, noted that a significant majority of Americans support the view that biological males should not compete against women in sports. The issue was further underscored by former high school volleyball player Payton McNabb, who is advocating for a ban on transgender athletes in women's sports following a personal incident. Trump recently signed an executive order aimed at reinforcing these protections, which Marshall described as critical for ensuring fairness and safety in women's sports. He expressed disappointment that Senate Democrats opposed the legislation designed to protect female athletes.
