Harlingen Holds Runoff Elections for Commissioners
Harlingen, Texas, conducted runoff elections for commissioner seats in Districts 3, 4, and 5 on December 14, 2024, with unofficial results showing Mike Mezmar, Frank Morales, and Rene Perez emerging victorious in their respective districts. Mezmar garnered 333 votes (52% of the total) against R. Frank Lozano, while Morales received 154 votes (56%) defeating Beto Peña, and Perez won with 468 votes (52%) against Nikki Alvarez-Daniell. Additionally, Weslaco held a commissioner-at-large election where Pete Garcia Jr. won with 1,214 votes (51%).
