Emergency Preparedness Exercises Conducted at Fort Riley, Hull KR

Fort Riley is conducting its annual full-scale emergency preparedness exercise to test and evaluate the installation’s emergency response procedures and preparedness. The exercise, scheduled for a Wednesday, will primarily take place near the Trooper Access Control Point and Victory Chapel, with residents, employees, and community members seeing an increased presence of emergency response activity and alerts. While some intersections around the exercise area may be temporarily blocked, access to key facilities such as the post exchange, commissary, and child development centers will remain unaffected. The exercise is set to begin in the morning and continue through the afternoon. Separately, in Hull, a multi-agency emergency response training exercise is occurring at Craven Park stadium, involving fire, police, and ambulance crews, including a mass decontamination unit to simulate hazardous material exposure response. This exercise uses the stadium as a realistic, controlled environment and is unrelated to the Fort Riley event.
