Morris Beats Bentley at Charity Gala

Jody Morris defeated David Bentley on points in the headline bout of Graham Stack’s sold-out charity gala “A Night to Remember” at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair on October 18, 2025. Morris used sustained pressure, body shots and months of preparation under Darren Barker to edge the white-collar contest, while Bentley began brightly but faded and said the night was primarily about fundraising. The undercard produced chaotic, high‑drama action, including a rapid knockout in the Curtis Davies vs. Paddy Kenny fight and a bruising unanimous decision win for Leroy Lita over David Noble. The ballroom was packed with football and boxing figures such as Peter Crouch, Paul Merson, Ray Parlour, David Haye, Johnny Nelson, Roy Jones Jr and Nina Hughes, as organisers aim to raise about £500,000 for Playskill, Sport in Mind, the Willow Foundation and Helping Hands.
