Man Dies Five-Vehicle Collision A1 Near Peterborough

A man in his 70s from the Cambridge area died in a five-vehicle collision on the A1 near Stibbington, west of Peterborough. The crash involved a black Skoda Octavia, a Mercedes lorry travelling southbound, a red DAF lorry, a blue Kia Ceed, and a black Mercedes Vito van and occurred around 4:25 pm on July 30. Emergency services attended the scene, but the Skoda driver was pronounced dead at the location, with no other injuries reported. A 55-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.
