Multiple Teens Escape, Arrested After Fleeing Pennsylvania, Virginia Facilities

Two separate incidents involving juvenile escapes from youth detention or mental health facilities occurred recently. In Pennsylvania, three D.C. teens escaped from the Clock Tower School, stealing a staff member's Range Rover and traveling to Washington D.C., where one was involved in a robbery and shooting; two have been apprehended while one remains at large. One of the teens in custody is alleged to have killed a 15-year-old in 2022 and wounded NFL player Brian Robinson. Meanwhile, in Virginia, five teenagers escaped from the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents in Staunton but were all apprehended within 40 minutes and faced charges including assault, obstruction of justice, and destruction of property. Both facilities serve youth with behavioral or mental health needs, and these incidents raise concerns about security and public safety. Authorities continue to investigate and seek information from the public regarding these escapes.
