Tottenham held 0-0; Monaco remain winless
Tottenham Hotspur were held to a 0-0 draw at Monaco’s Stade Louis II in a Champions League group match. Monaco dominated possession and created the clearer chances, with Folarin Balogun and Takumi Minamino missing several gilt-edged opportunities. Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario produced a catalogue of saves, including reflex stops in the first half and late on, to preserve the clean sheet. Spurs offered little attacking threat beyond a Micky van de Ven header and slowed the game late, prompting boos from travelling supporters, and remain unbeaten after three group games. The draw left Monaco still without a win in the group and marked Sebastien Pocognoli’s first Champions League game in charge.
