Thanksgiving Trash Pickup Schedules Announced

Cities across the United States have announced changes to garbage and recycling collection schedules for the Thanksgiving holiday. In Milford, CT, Thursday pickups are rescheduled to Wednesday, Nov. 27, while other days remain unchanged. El Paso, TX, will not collect trash or recycling on Nov. 28 and 29, with gray bins collected on Dec. 2 as a make-up day, while blue bins will have to wait for their next scheduled collection. Bellevue, WA, is offering extra yard debris pickup from Nov. 25 to Dec. 6, allowing residents to dispose of additional yard waste without extra fees. Shawnee County, KS, has also released its holiday pickup schedule, asking residents to have bins out by 7 a.m. on collection days. Residents are encouraged to dispose of household waste properly during the holidays to avoid plumbing issues and delays in collection services.
