Kevin Costner's Western film 'Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1' will be available for streaming on Max beginning August 23, following a disappointing box office performance. Despite its $100 million production budget, the film grossed only $31.4 million worldwide. Costner, who invested $38 million of his own money, directed, co-wrote, produced, and starred in the movie. The second installment, initially scheduled for an August 11 release, has been postponed to allow more time for audiences to discover the first chapter on streaming platforms. 'Horizon: Chapter 2' will now debut at the Venice Film Festival on September 7. The future of the entire four-film series remains uncertain, though production for the third film began earlier this year.
