Brian May hints at potential new Queen music

Queen guitarist Brian May has indicated that the band may release new music, expressing optimism that it 'could happen' in a recent interview with MOJO. Although they have not released an album since 'Made In Heaven' in 1995, both May and drummer Roger Taylor have been actively writing and developing ideas in their studios. May noted that he possesses the beginnings of a new Queen song, but emphasized the need for the idea to mature before it can be fully realized. Taylor echoed these sentiments last year, suggesting that if they create compelling material, there is no reason not to pursue it. The band's recent performances with Adam Lambert have reignited discussions about new music, with Lambert acknowledging the pressure to meet high standards if they decide to release new material. This potential for new music comes after Queen's successful 'Rhapsody Tour', which concluded in Tokyo in 2024.
