Red Rocks Win Best of Utah Meet with 197.950 Score

The fifth-ranked Utah Red Rocks delivered an impressive performance at the Maverik Center, winning the Best of Utah meet with a season-high score of 197.950, tying Oklahoma for the highest score in the nation this season. Junior Makenna Smith led the team with a career-best all-around score of 39.725, winning events on vault, beam, and floor, while teammate Grace McCallum scored 39.600, winning the bars. The Red Rocks scored 49.525 on bars, beam, and floor, showcasing their strength and composure throughout the competition against in-state rivals Southern Utah, Utah State, and BYU. Head coach Carly Dockendorf praised the team's performance, especially in light of a recent injury to freshman Avery Neff, whose prognosis was more positive than expected.
