Depeche Mode Concert Film Premieres October in 60 Countries
Depeche Mode's concert film, DEPECHE MODE: M, directed by award-winning Mexican filmmaker Fernando Frias, will receive a limited theatrical release worldwide starting October 28, 2025, screening in over 2,500 cinemas and IMAX venues across more than 60 countries. The film features footage from the band's three sold-out shows at Mexico City's Foro Sol Stadium during their 2023-2024 Memento Mori Tour, which was their first tour following the death of founding member Andy Fletcher. It explores the deep connection between music, culture, mortality, and Mexican tradition, offering a cinematic experience that goes beyond a typical concert film. The project was well-received at its premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Festival and highlights the band's multicultural influences and their relationship with Mexican culture's view on death. Dave Gahan praised Frias for beautifully capturing the story through the lens of Mexican culture and the band's live performances. The film is a collaboration between Depeche Mode, Trafalgar Releasing, and Sony Music Vision, celebrating the band's global fanbase and the significance of the Memento Mori Tour.
