Arizona Man Indicted for Murder with AR-15

Adam Joseph Montoya, 27, has been indicted on charges of second-degree murder and child abuse following the fatal shooting of his 1-year-old daughter with an AR-15 rifle in Show Low, Arizona. The incident occurred on February 3, with the shooting taking place in front of the child's mother. Emergency responders took the infant to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Montoya has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held on a $1 million bond. Both the Navajo County Attorney's Office and Show Low Police have declined further comment on the case. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for March 6.
