Modest Mouse Announces Psychic Salamander Festival in Washington, DC

Modest Mouse has announced the inaugural Psychic Salamander Festival, a two-day music event taking place September 13-14 at Remlinger Farms in Carnation, Washington. The festival will feature Modest Mouse headlining both days, with The Flaming Lips co-headlining and performing their album The Soft Bulletin in full on the second night. Other acts on the lineup include Courtney Barnett, Built To Spill, Sleater-Kinney, Yo La Tengo, Friko, The Vaudevillian, Mattress, and Sun Atoms. The venue is a family-owned working farm with a concert space and an attached amusement park. Tickets go on pre-sale for Modest Mouse’s fan club members on April 29, with general sales starting May 2. The announcement follows the band’s upcoming co-headlining tour with The Flaming Lips and precedes their newly announced cruise festival, Ice Cream Floats, scheduled for 2026.
